2019 PUL Defensive Player of the Year: Austin Prucha

Congrats to Austin Prucha (Indianapolis Red) on winning the 2019 PUL Offensive Player of the Year! She ranked top 3 in D’s (15), goals (17) and +/- (23) and wowed fans all season with her athletic plays (on both sides of the disc). Runners Up: Julia Schmaltz (Austin Torch); Cassie Wong (New York Gridlock Ultimate).

Says Robyn Fenig (Atlanta Soul) “Fans from the Midwest have known about the defensive prowess of Austin Prucha for years. She has a knack for finding the ideal amount of separation to allow her to explode through well-placed throws to seemingly open offensive players. What we have is an impressive highlight reel of layout block after layout block on under cuts, poaching into lanes, or helping teammates when they are beat into space. Never afraid to put her body on the line to make the play, Prucha is one of the most exciting players on or off the disc in the league.”
