The Torch is Austin’s professional women’s ultimate team! This team was ignited in 2018 by the Austin Ultimate Community in an effort to promote women in ultimate and showcase them to an audience that wouldn’t otherwise get the opportunity to watch fierce, elite women in action. From its inception, the community has taken a grass-roots approach to this team in terms of ownership, funding, and organization.

Now in its sixth year, the Torch are founding members of the new Premier Ultimate League, made up of 12 teams from across the USA. Both the Torch and the PUL are non-profit, community-funded organizations dedicated to creating equitable playing opportunities for women in Ultimate. Interested in helping us fund the season?
