PUL Divisional Structure to Shift for 2024 Season

The 2024 Premier Ultimate League season will feature 11 teams competing within two divisions.

Columbus Pride announced on Tuesday, November 21 that they will be taking a gap year.

“We plan to take the next year to reorganize our ownership structure, secure additional funding sources, update our mission/vision statements and goals, engage with our community, and strategically plan and begin to execute how to accomplish these goals in sustainable and equitable ways,” Columbus said.

For the 2024 season, the remaining 11 PUL teams will be competing within a two-division model: North and South. The North Division will be composed of Indy Red, the Milwaukee Monarchs, Minnesota Strike, New York Gridlock Ultimate, Portland Rising, and Philadelphia Surge. The South Division will include Atlanta Soul, the Austin Torch, DC Shadow, Nashville NightShade, and Raleigh Radiance. Upon their return in 2025, Columbus Pride will join the South Division.

Each team will compete in five to six official games. Teams will participate in one match against each of their divisional opponents and at least one cross-divisional match. The top two teams in each division will compete in the 2024 PUL Championship Weekend.

Details regarding playoff qualification and the PUL schedule will be released in early January.
